About Cinetech

Built by practitioners.

Two builders with decades of hands-on experience — one in film, one in software — who got tired of stitching together tools that didn’t fit, and built the connected production system they couldn’t find.

The founders
Jason Kunke

Jason Kunke

Co-Founder & The Filmmaker

The one who’s actually been on set. With over two decades as a camera technician for companies like Panavision, Jason brings real-world experience from both sides of the lens. From live television like America’s Got Talent to indie features like The 11th Patient, short films, and music videos, he’s worked as a camera operator, VFX artist, and all-around problem solver. He knows what it’s like to troubleshoot gear at 5 AM or pivot under pressure when time and budget are tight. He’s our reality check for what actually works on set.

Timothy Kunke

Timothy Kunke

Co-Founder & The Tech Guy

The one who's been building tech infrastructure for the last 25 years. From startup networks to Fortune 20 enterprise systems, Timothy knows what it takes to make complex technology work reliably at scale. He also holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh—a seemingly unrelated credential that actually translates quite well to systems design, where the same rigorous analytical thinking applies.

"We're not your typical startup founders. We've been solving problems in our respective worlds for decades. Now we're combining what we've learned to build something new that works for people in the film and video production industry."

The team

Alongside the founders, Cinetech is built by a small, dedicated team of developers and designers who care about the craft as much as the code. We keep it deliberately lean — close to the work and close to the people who use it — so what we ship reflects how productions actually run.

Our story

Cinetech exists to take the tedious organizational work off your plate. Scripts, breakdowns, schedules, shot lists, budgets — the logistics that quietly swallow a production’s time — live in one connected system, so the same information flows from first concept to final call sheet instead of being re-entered across five different tools.

We’re not trying to replace human creativity — we’re trying to amplify it. By putting AI at the core and connecting every tool to a single production knowledge base, Cinetech clears the friction between organization and artistic vision, and hands that time back to the people telling the story.
