Cinetech, LLC ("Cinetech," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Cinetech platform, a cloud-based AI-powered film production management service available at cinetech.ai. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our platform. By using Cinetech, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details.
Project & Production Data: We store the content you create on the platform, including uploaded scripts, script breakdowns, storyboards, shot lists, schedules, call sheets, and any other production documents you create or upload.
AI-Generated Content: When you use our AI features (storyboard generation, script analysis, scheduling, etc.), your inputs and the resulting outputs are processed and stored as part of your project data.
Collaborator Data: If you invite collaborators to your projects, we collect their email addresses and store their activity within your shared workspace.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the platform — features used, pages visited, actions taken, timestamps, and session data — to improve the service.
Technical Data: We may collect device and browser information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and app version for security and diagnostic purposes.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Cinetech platform
- Process transactions and manage your subscription via Stripe
- Deliver AI-powered features including script analysis, storyboard generation, and production scheduling
- Send transactional emails such as account verification, password resets, and usage notifications via SendGrid
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account
- Monitor and improve platform performance, reliability, and security
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity
- Comply with legal obligations
Your scripts are never used to train AI models. Both Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI process your content under zero data retention policies — your IP stays yours.
Cinetech uses third-party AI services to power features like script breakdown, storyboard generation, and production scheduling. When you use these features, relevant portions of your project data are sent to these services for processing.
Your scripts and production data are never used to train AI models. We use Anthropic (Claude) for AI-powered production tools and OpenAI for script breakdown and our AI production assistant. Both providers process your content under zero data retention policies — your inputs are not stored, logged, or used to train their models beyond what is required to complete your request. We have specifically selected these providers on the basis of these data protection guarantees.
We understand that scripts and production materials represent valuable, often sensitive intellectual property. Protecting that IP is a core commitment of how we've built this platform.
You retain full ownership of all content you create on Cinetech. We do not claim any rights to your scripts, storyboards, schedules, or any other production materials. We do not use your production content to train our own AI models or any third-party AI system.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), SendGrid (transactional email), Anthropic (AI processing), and Vercel and Railway (hosting and background processing). Each provider is bound by their own privacy and data protection obligations.
Collaborators: When you invite someone to a project, they will have access to the project data within that shared workspace.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cinetech, our users, or others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We take data security seriously. Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with row-level security controls. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we implement industry-standard safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as payment records).
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@cinetech.ai.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
- Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, such as marketing communications
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@cinetech.ai. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
Cinetech uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. We also use third-party analytics tools to measure usage and improve the product.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, though doing so may affect the functionality of certain platform features. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
